Beverley Ibbotson

Beverley is the Director of the C. Lewis Leeds office and a chartered accountant with over 30 years’ experience working in forensic accounting. Whilst still maintaining a broad mix of civil litigation work, Beverley has focused on and been instructed in hundreds of Fraud and Financial Crime cases in the past 25 years. An experienced Expert Witness and Member of the Academy of Experts, Beverley has given Expert evidence in both the High Civil and Family Courts as well as in the Crown Courts across the length and breadth of the UK. Generally instructed on behalf of Defendants facing complex financial charges relating to matters such as HMRC tax and and VAT fraud, money laundering, fraud and theft, OCG’s and conspiracy to supply prohibited items.

Beverley has prepared numerous Expert reports for Defendants facing confiscation proceedings under POCA 2002 (and its predecessors CJA88/POCA95), following their convictions. The Crime & Fraud team take instructions from solicitors and barristers on both a privately funded basis or government funded under the LAA, SLAB or LSA(NI) schemes for Expert Witnesses.
