An active member of numerous UK, European and International Standards committees for more than 40 years and Convenor of CEN/TC248\WG24 Test methods for flammability of textiles, National Chairperson of UK Committee TCI/66/-/10 UV Protective Properties (of textiles) and TCI/100/-/5 Physiological and THermoregulatory properties of textiles;
Founder member and current Administration Manager of United Kingdom Textile Laboratory Forum (UKTLF); Vice-Chair of Association of Suppliers to British Clothing Industry (ASBCI) Technical committee; Awarded Fellowhsip of ASBCI;
Methodology & Approach
The approach used depends on whether I am acting for one party or as a single joint expert. However, when acting for a single party, all relevant information pertaining to the dispute is examined and tested for its validity and an independent and impartial opinion formed on the basis of my own research. Where appropraite, relevant tsting may be commissioned or carried out by myself or an approved external testing laboratory. Details of all documentation and sources of information used are referenced in the report along with the basis on which I have formed my opinion. is detailed within the report and summarised in a conclusions section. Reports also include photographs, diagrams and test results (tables, charts, etc as appropriate) in support of my findings. Where appropriate and only when dictated by a Court, meetings of experts undertaken and a joint statement of areas of disagreement provided. It is my aim to provide expert reports in clear English and which assists the parties to the dispute in resolving the matter at the earliest possible time.
